Super Tuesday with Louie Lujan: California Voter Guide 2020
2 min readMar 3, 2020
Tomorrow is SUPER TUESDAY and many of you may be confused by all of the propositions appearing on the ballot. Louie Lujan, Government Relations Director and former Mayor of La Puente, offers the following advice.
- What if I don’t understand the effects of a proposition? Louie Lujan advises that you research each ballot proposition before voting. If you do not know anything about the proposition, skip it. Don’t vote.
- Who is running? Louie Lujan understands that confusion on who to vote for is common. There are 20 Democrats and seven Republicans running for president that have gotten their name on the California ballot. You can learn more about the top Democratic candidates here and check out Louie Lujan and his voter guide for more information on candidates in congressional, statewide and local races.
- What should I know about the candidates? Louie Lujan offers a tracker of candidate visits tells you where the Republican and Democratic presidential contenders have campaigned in California and how often they’ve visited the state. As the former Mayor of La Puente, Louie Lujan created a series of stories and videos highlighting the five things you need to know about the top candidates. Louie Lujan did the same for the 2020 Democrats. If you’re looking for a 2020 candidate whose policy views match yours, Louie Lujan and his policy comparison addresses how the top seven Democrats would tackle housing, health care, higher education, climate change and immigration.
- Where and how do I vote? Louie Lujan says, you can still register to vote or switch your party affiliation on or before Election Day. Polls close at 8 p.m. on March 3. You can check your voter registration status by visiting voterstatus.sos.ca.gov or by calling 1–800–345-VOTE (8683). If you need to register to vote for the first time or update your voter registration information, you should visit RegisterToVote.ca.gov. or, if all else fails, contact Louie Lujan La Puente. www.cimalawgroup.com
- Finally, Louie Lujan La Puente says REFUSE TO BE CONFUSED. If you see something suspicious online or if you believe you’re receiving misinformation about the election, you can report it here to the Secretary of State’s Office. The Bee has already debunked a few claims with misleading information.
